My Story
As a farmer and entrepreneur, I understand the challenges we face in keeping accurate records and gaining insights into our operations. On our farm, one of the biggest struggles was tracking diesel usage effectively. Every season, we needed a better way to analyze how much fuel was being consumed for specific tasks—planting, harvesting, spraying, and more. Without proper records, it was difficult to make informed decisions and improve efficiency.
That’s why I created Diesel Diary: an app built by a farmer, for farmers. I wanted a solution that was practical, easy to use, and tailored to the unique needs of South African agriculture. With Diesel Diary, you can calculate the amount of fuel used for each farm, each cost center, and even by individual workers or equipment. It’s the first app of its kind in South Africa, designed for mobile.
